Someone I know always has awesome articles she posts on facebook.
Here is a good one that should provoke some thought. I must admit that I have Catholic sympathies, but only feel comfortable ‘going Anglican.’

For more than a while I’ve felt like I inhabit two worlds; one is ‘fundamentalist,’ and the other is ‘liberal.’ As an example of the tension, today, in my facebook feed were these two things:
[Aside: Joshua Harris--I thought I was going to be able to agree with you for once. We almost had it, but then you went and said something stupid. We aren't all theologians. Let's just review that theologians create theology by explicating the bible, drawing on past theologians, and attempting to draw together theological concepts. We aren't all theologians because we don't all do these things. And, more importantly, when most of us try to do them, we do them very, very, poorly; most of us are just bad theologians. What is more, we don't all need to be theologians--just like we don't all need to be worship leaders, or senior pastors. Hey, here's an idea--instead of trying to invent something new, why don't we draw on the theological thought that came before us? We won't be heretical; it will be good theology; and we won't deceive ourselves into thinking we are something we aren't. Lest I seem overly negative, I will grant you this: we all live by a theology, and if it is wrong or bad, it does matter; just like it matters what words you use, and that you phrase things carefully.]
[Aside: Amen, Bruce, Amen. It is tragic that an OT scholar can't suggest a basic theological principle without backlash.]
I guess my true colors are showing; I’m a liberal.
[Aside: Dear Evangelical Church, When are we going to learn that just because a Christian 'leader' wrote a book, and it sold well, doesn't actually mean they are qualified to speak about, and to, every topic under the sun. Donald Miller, and James Dobson--this means you.]
Do I sound frustrated?
Because I am.
